Alpine Packing Company [aka Alpine Meats] was founded by Josef Kaeslin Sr., a Swiss immigrant who learned the craft of sausage making as a young man in his homeland. What started out as a small family business has steadily grown over the years and still maintaining the foundation on which it was built: highest quality and superior customer service.
As technological advancements allow us to be more modern and efficient, there are some things that are best served by "the way things were". We still subscribe to the same philosophy on which the company was built. Alpine products do not contain artificial flavors; we use only the finest fresh meats and premium spices, and our products are made in small batches. Our traditional hickory hardwood burning smokehouses slowly smoke our frankfurters, sausages and hams to bring out the true smoked flavor. Even our packaging process is carefully monitored to ensure that every product meets the standards that we demand and our customers have come to expect.
Over the years our sphere of influence has expanded from Stockton, California to all of Northern California, Nevada and Hawaii.
At the San Francisco Giants famous hot dog taste test in
1993, our Western Beef Frank won over 18 other
manufacturers-many of which were "national" companies. We
have proudly served the fans of the San Francisco Giants
since 1993.
